Applications open for 2025 Oktoberfest Ambassador

Summer technically isn’t over yet but in Waterloo Region thoughts are already turning to KW Oktoberfest.
With the festival a little less than a month away, applications are now being accepted to become the 2025 Oktoberfest Ambassador.
The program is geared towards young professionals between the ages of 19 and 29 and is billed as a “one-of-a-kind opportunity within the Region.”
The winning applicant will have the opportunity for personal and professional growth, skill development and volunteerism, all while celebrating KW Oktoberfest and what it means to the community.
The upcoming year will be spent representing KW Oktoberfest, engaging with the public, making presentations and giving speeches, all leading up to next year’s festival.
To make sure applicants are actually committed to the program, hopefuls will have the chance to help with this year’s Oktoberfest activities. They’ll help collect donations to the Onkel Hans Food Drive along the parade route. They’ll volunteer at other events as well, all while participating in the interview process.
There is no fee to apply but all applications must be submitted by Sept.26.
KW Oktoberfest runs from September 26 to October 18.
The winning applicant will be announced at the conclusion of this year’s festival.
