Grand River ION not running Sunday morning for maintenance

Those who typically take the ION on Sunday morning in Kitchener and Waterloo will have to look for another ride.

Grand River Transit says that planned maintenance will shut down the ION rail from Conestoga Station to Fairway Station until 1 p.m. The service says there are two trains at Fairway Station to “ensure a quicker return to regular service once operations resume.”

The GRT says there will be replacement shuttle buses running at all stops between Conestoga Station and Fairway Station every 15 minutes during the stoppage.
