Knife pulled during assault in Uptown Waterloo

Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a reported assault during which a knife was drawn in Waterloo.

It happened on Sunday morning around 2:15 a.m. when regional police responded to an incident in the area of King Street North and Princess Street West.

Two male victims were reportedly approached by an unknown man and a female suspect.

Police say a physical altercation followed, during which one of the suspects allegedly attempted to assault the victims with a knife.

Following the altercation, police say both suspects fled the scene on foot. It’s unclear what sparked the scuffle, though police say no physical injuries were reported.
