Water main break, road repairs bring partial closure to Pinebush Road

It’s a small snag for traffic heading along Pinebush Road in Cambridge.

It was on Saturday morning when the City of Cambridge shared news of a watermain break at the intersection of Hespeler Road and Pinebush Road, warning of impacts to water pressure and service interruptions for nearby residents and businesses.

Sharing an update on Sunday morning, city staff noted that the leak from the watermain break had been repaired – but impacts for motorists are still in place.

Westbound lanes of Pinebush Road are still closed for traffic through Hespeler Road, as road crews now have the task of making repairs to “significant asphalt damage” in the area.

It’s unclear when those westbound lanes of traffic are expected to fully reopen for motorists.
