Police probing ‘suspicious person’ seen in Kitchener

Regional police are looking into a report of a suspicious person seen in Kitchener.

On May 25, a youth was walking on the Iron Horse Trail at around 5:50 p.m. The youth reported being followed by an unknown man who made several attempts to talk to them, police said in a press release. The man is said to have followed the youth into Victoria Park, where the young person looked for help from another parkgoer.

The man police say is “suspicious” is described as Black, about 6’0″ with curly hair. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red and black plaid shirt, beige pants with cargo pockets and black running shoes with white soles.

Officers asked to speak to the man in connection with the incident.
