Two sent to hospital after three-vehicle collision in Woolwich Township

By Justin Koehler

Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is investigating a three-vehicle collision sending two to hospital.

Emergency services were called on Sunday around 1:05 p.m. to the intersection of Northfield Drive East and Sawmill Road. When officers arrived, they found a black Toyota, a white Honda, and a blue Ford were involved in the crash.

Two of the drivers were transported to a local hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services, both with non-life-threatening injuries.

Due to the extent of the crash, officers closed lanes to traffic during the initial investigation, causing reduced traffic flow for around three hours into the afternoon. Lanes have since been reopened

The cause of the collision is still under investigation and anyone with further details, who witnessed the crash, or has dash-cam footage of it, is asked to reach out to WRPS.
