Police seek suspect accused of harassing Kitchener girl every morning for a month

Officers need to find a man who has allegedly been harassing a female youth in Kitchener every morning for about a month.

Waterloo regional police said the victim came forward on Friday to report ongoing incidents of what officials called “criminal harassment.”

The girl told police that for the previous month an unknown male had been trying to have interactions with her, in the Ottawa Street North and Heritage Drive area, near Lackner Boulevard.

There’s a public library, a high school, and the Grand River Recreation Complex in that area, but police did not mention any specific locations where this was happening.

They said the victim was not hurt physically.

Police said the suspect is described as being brown, about 25 to 30-years-old, with an average build, short black hair, scruffy facial hair and a large nose.

He was seen wearing a red and black jacket, with skinny jeans, and carrying a black knapsack.

Anyone who knows anything about what happened is urged to call police at 519-570-9777, or reach out anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or by clicking here.
