Inspector Kyle Lambert, with Waterloo regional police, said officers are investigating a shooting in a residential area.

A man and a woman from Oshawa, Ont. are facing charges after a shooting in Kitchener earlier this month saw one person seriously injured.

In the early morning hours of March 5, police were called to the Vanier Drive and Massey Avenue area of the city to reports of a shooting. Officers arrived at a home on Vanier Drive to find a 30-year-old man with gunshot wounds, who was sent to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

A 30-year-old woman was seen by paramedics but not sent to hospital.

On Wednesday, Waterloo Regional Police Service, collaborating with Durham Regional Police, arrested two suspects from Oshawa.

A 28-year-old man is facing a long list of charges including aggravated assault, break and enter and forcible confinement.

A 20-year-old woman has been charged with accessory after the fact.

At the time of the shooting, police told 570 NewsRadio they believed the incident was targeted.

Though the two arrests have been made, police are still asking anyone with information to come forward.
