Police believe there may be more victims in human trafficking investigation

Police are concerned there may be more victims in a human trafficking investigation in Waterloo Region.

The investigation started in April, 2024 when the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) received reports about the alleged trafficking of adult women.

Three arrests were made in February, 2025: two 36-year-old men and a 50-year-old man.

On March 20, police identified the 36-year-old men as Rommel Hinds-Grannum, who also goes by ‘Nov’, while the other is Robert Hinds-Grannum who is also known as ‘Chase’.

Police said the men are charged with multiple offences including human trafficking, receiving material benefit, money laundering, and uttering death threats.

Police publicly identified the accused as investigators believe there may be additional victims.
