Rangers blank Battalion, extend winning streak to three games

The Kitchener Rangers are back on a win streak, celebrating their third in a row over the North Bay Battalion 6-0 last night at the Aud.

A scoreless first period was followed by Christian Humphreys placing one in the net just one minute into the second period. Alexander Bilecki would get the Blue Shirts their second shortly after.

The third period would see the Rangers keep up the pressure with Adrian Misaljevic getting one more for the Rangers, and Tanner Lam getting his first ever OHL hat trick.

“The coaching staff has done a real good job of keeping this team focused on the goal, and that’s to be as ready as they an be come playoff time,” said 570’s Colour Commentator Paul Fixter. “They are using these games as play off prep and I think the best example of that is tonight in the third period they go out and score four goals. So they made the team stay focused on the task at hand, and win the hockey game.”

With just four games left in the regular season, the Rangers will take on the Owen Sound Attack tonight at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m. and the pregame show with Mike Farwell and Paul Fixter starts at 6:30 p.m. live on 570 NewsRadio.
