Waterloo Regional Police investigate early morning shooting

Regional police are investigating a shooting that took place in a Kitchener residence early in the morning of Mar. 1.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. in the area of Ottawa Street South and Trussler Road.

Police responded to a report of gunshots in the area and confirmed multiple shots had been fired at a home. There were no reports of any injuries.

The Waterloo Regional Police Service General Investigations Unit is investigating the incident, and an increased police presence in the area can be expected throughout the day.

There is footage of the street from the time of the incident, with a two-door silver vehicle seen as being of interest.

Anyone who has information about the incident is asked to contact police or can leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers.
