A pick-up truck caught the eye of a Wellington OPP officer for going down a roadway with a plastic driver’s side window held on with tape.
Police said the black Toyota Tundra was spotted Monday morning, around 10:00, and pulled the driver over on Wellington Road 32 in Puslinch Township.
The OPP release included a photo of a “makeshift side window,” showing an, at best, semi-clear sheet of plastic, held on to the driver’s door with wide brown tape, where the glass window should be.
The 59-year old driver from Cambridge was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with “no clear view to sides.”
Police make no mention of why the driver had a plastic window on his truck.
They remind all drivers it’s ok to call 911 for urgent traffic complaints, or for non-urgent concerns, call 1-888-310-1122.
