The Kitchener Rangers are back at The Aud on Friday night, looking to earn a season series sweep over the Barrie Colts.
Friday’s game will be the second meeting between these two sides this season, with the Rangers coming out on top in their last meeting 4-1.
The Colts are one of the best teams in a tightly-contested Eastern Conference, and the only team with at least 70 points to not yet clinch a playoff berth.
On Sunday, the Rangers make a road trip to London for a marquee matchup against the Knights.
London has all-but-secured themselves a first-place Western Conference finish, currently holding a six-point lead over the second place Rangers with four games in hand, but if the Blueshirts can defeat the Knights on Sunday, it would give them a fighting chance.
Kitchener Rangers Head Coach Jussi Ahokas has flown to Finland for the weekend to attend to a family matter and will not be behind the bench for Friday’s game.
Assistant Coach Jeff Kyrzakos will help fill in for Ahokas, and will make an appearance on The Mike Farwell Show Friday morning at 10:30 a.m. to chat about the game plan.
All of Friday’s action can be heard on 570 NewsRadio with Mike Farwell and Paul Fixter. The pre-game show begins at 6:30 p.m.
