Inclement weather and blowing snow have caused many schools in Guelph to close for the day on Tuesday.
According to the Wellington-Dufferin Student Transportation Service, all Upper Grand District School Board and Wellington Catholic District School Board schools are closed for the day. MonAvenir and Viamonde schools in the Royal City will also remain closed.
A blowing snow advisory is in place for Guelph, Erin, and Southern Wellington County, as Environment Canada is warning of near-zero visibility on roadways and gusty winds continuing into Tuesday evening.
Environment Canada added that snow drifts could appear on road surfaces, so be prepared to adjust your driving to meet the conditions.
