The Kitchener Rangers are licking their wounds after a disappointing Eastern Conference road trip that closed out with a 5-3 loss to the Peterborough Petes on Monday.
The Blueshirts opened the contest in style, scoring three-straight goals to take a commanding 3-0 lead.
But, the home team responded well and bossed the remainder of the game, scoring five unanswered goals to earn a 5-3 victory.
Even with the win over the high-flying Rangers, the Petes remain rock-bottom in the OHL with just 39 points.
The Rangers have won just once in their last four games, and are now six points back from the first-place London Knights, who also have four games in hand.
Up next for the East Avenue Blue is a visit from the Barrie Colts at The Aud on Friday before heading a trip to London on Sunday.
