Regional police a top employer in southwestern Ontario
For the second time in less than a month, the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) has been recognized as a great place to work.
WRPS has been named one of Southwestern Ontario’s Top Employers for 2025.
This comes on the heels of being named one of Waterloo Region’s Top Employers for 2025 back in January.
In a release it says WRPS was selected for its dedication to community engagement, prioritizing member mental health and wellbeing, offering flexible work options, providing competitive benefits and supporting charitable causes.
WRPS is the seventh-largest police force in Ontario. Its 1,262 members serve the municipalities of Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge and the Townships of Woolwich, Wellesley, Wilmot and North Dumfries.
“It is an incredible honour for the Waterloo Regional Police Service to be recognized as one of Southwestern Ontario’s Top Employers for 2025,” said Mark Crowell, Chief of Police in the release. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication, commitment, and professionalism of our members, who work tirelessly to serve the Waterloo Region community.”
