Environment Canada has issued a winter weather travel advisory, warning of snow accumulation and blowing snow from this latest system. The snow began earlier Tuesday afternoon and it’s expected to last until around midnight.

The advisory warns of snowfall amounts between 5 and 10 cm and reduced visibility on the roadways in the region.

The cities of KitchenerWaterloo and Cambridge have all decaled snow events. That triggers on-street parking bans which will remain in effect for at least 24 hours. The cities said vehicle left on the street, are likely to be ticketed and towed at the owners expense.

Drivers are asked to monitor conditions closely and take them into consideration if they plan to travel Tuesday evening.
