Kitchener corner store held-up at gunpoint

Waterloo Regional Police are on the hunt for a trio of suspects following an armed robbery at a convenience store early Friday morning.
According to police, three men entered the shop in the Highland Rd. W. and Westmount Rd. area of Kitchener around 4:15 am. A handgun was pointed at an employee and suspects made off with a quantity of merchandise.
Police say the men were seen fleeing toward Overlea Dr.
No injuries were reported.
The suspects are described as black, each around six feet tall and between the ages of 20 and 25. They were also wearing dark clothing and gloves.
The Waterloo Region Police Robbery Team is investigating.
