Federal offender arrested in Kitchener

A man wanted for armed robbery, known as a federal offender, and at large for over a month, has been arrested in Kitchener.

Toronto Police arrested John Francis Curtin this week. He was on the run since Nov. 14.

Curtin is serving an 18-year, one-month, and 20-day sentence for numerous charges.

They include:

  • Armed robbery x2
  • Possess weapon or imitation
  • Break and enter x4
  • Theft over x4
  • Theft under x2
  • Used forged document
  • Forgery
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Impaired driving

The arrest was announced by the Ontario Provincial Police Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad.
