CPKC Holiday Train rolls in Cambridge Sunday

Last week it was the Santa Clause Parade, this week it’s the CPKC Holiday Train bringing Christmas cheer to the people of Cambridge.

The popular annual tradition sees a fully decorated locomotive make stops in communities across Canada and the U.S. with live musical performances. But the real goal is to raise funds and food donations for the food banks in those communities.

This year musical acts KT Tunstall and American Authors will perform.

A pre-show party will feature country artist Jessie T.

Volunteers from the Cambridge Food Bank will be there collecting monetary and food donations. They will also host a barbeque.

The train is expected to arrive at the Malcom Street Train Station at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 24.

The music begins at 4:15 p.m.

The Winterfest pre-show party kicks-off at 3:00 p.m.

Traffic is expected to be heavy so organizers are encouraging people to arrive early and suggesting drivers in the area consider finding an alternate route.
