Man yelling racial slurs at kids near school deemed hate-motivated incident

A man was seen yelling racial slurs at a group of children this week in Kitchener. On Oct. 3 around 12:45 p.m. the male was allegedly walking across from a school on Strange St. when he made some remarks towards the kids.

The male is described as white and was seen wearing a black hoodie, black balaclava that covered his nose and mouth, as well as black pants.

The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Waterloo Region Police. People living in the area or businesses are being asked to check their surveillance systems or dash-cam footage that may help police with the investigation.
