Assault victim found unconscious on Waterloo street, second victim found nearby

Police officers found an assault victim laying on the road on the edge of Uptown Waterloo, and while looking after him, found a second victim nearby.
Waterloo Regional Police say it happened soon after 2:00 a.m. Sunday, on Bridgeport Road East near Peppler Street, just two streets away from King Street North.
Officers found one victim unconscious on the roadway, and found the second nearby.
Police say there had been an argument 10 minutes earlier between two groups of people at a business at King and Erb Street.

While the victims were walking away, it turned into a fight, and they were assaulted by a group of suspects.
A 27-year-old man and a 26-year old man were both taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
There are no suspect descriptions at this time as police are still investigating.
