Motorcyclist sent to hospital after collision in Kitchener: police

A collision in Kitchener put a motorcycle driver in hospital, and shut down parts of Homer Watson Boulevard on Wednesday.
According to the Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS), it was a crash between a motorcycle and an SUV around 8 p.m.
“A white Ford SUV exited a private driveway and proceeded to turn left across Homer Watson Boulevard,” read a release from WRPS. “The Ford SUV collided with a blue Suzuki motorcycle which was approaching along Homer Watson Boulevard.”
The 22-year-old Kitchener man driving the bike suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The SUV driver, a 21-year-old Kitchener woman, was not hurt.
Parts of Homer Watson Boulevard between the Ottawa Street roundabout and Block Line Road were closed until just before midnight.
There’s no word yet if charges are going to be laid.
