Waterloo Regional Police are now on the look-out for a group of suspects following a reported assault incident in Kitchener.
Police responded to that disturbance call on Friday just before 6 p.m., in the Hazelglen Drive and Mooregate Crescent area.
It’s alleged that the youth victims were outside a residence in the area when they were approaching by a group of five unknown suspects.
Police report those suspects uttered racial comments toward the victims, initiating a physical altercation.
No physical injuries were reported as a result of the scuffle.
The service’s General Investigations Unit is now looking to identify those suspects.
The Hazelglen Drive and Mooregate Crescent area was also the scene of a hate-motivated assault earlier that afternoon, which saw a victim pushed and punched in the chest by a 49-year-old Kitchener woman.
Anyone with information regarding either incident is encouraged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
