Kitchener’s LoveMyHood grant program reaches $1M mark

There is a lot of love in Kitchener!
In fact, $1-million in love.
Kitchener’s LoveMyHood matching grant program has hit a major milestone, giving away $1-million over the past seven years.
The cash, going towards community projects, such as spruced up parks, community events and more.
Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic says, “This achievement demonstrates what can be accomplished through collaboration between the City of Kitchener and the commitment and passion of our community. Together, we are creating great places, connecting people, and encouraging neighbours to work together, one neighbourhood project at a time.”
Since 2017, the program has helped boost 180 resident-led events, programs, and neighbourhood projects across Kitchener.
