Driver, passenger seriously hurt in Kitchener crash

A driver and their passenger were seriously hurt after a crash in Kitchener.

The collision happened Wednesday around 6:45 a.m. in the Fischer-Hallman Road and Westmount Road area.

Two vehicles were involved and the intersection was closed for several hours for the investigation.

A 34-year-old man and 40-year-old man, both from Kitchener, were taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

While the investigation into the crash is ongoing, Waterloo Regional Police said charges are anticipated.
