Teen in Cambridge charged for assault with a weapon, police investigating

A Cambridge youth has been charged after allegedly assaulting someone while wielding a firearm and a knife.
According to Waterloo Regional Police, the incident happened on Thursday in the area of Equestrian Way and Speedsville Rd. at around 4:45 p.m.
The youth, a 15-year-old male from Cambridge, allegedly pointed a firearm towards the victim and then threatened them with a knife.
The victim ran to safety and was not injured in the incident.
Officers identified the youth and located him in the Hespeler area of Cambridge.
The 15-year-old was arrested and charged with a number of weapons-related offences, including assault with a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, and uttering threats to cause death.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
