Ray of Hope shares photo of empty shelves; in need of food donations

Ray of Hope is making a plea for more food donations to its Marketplace, after sharing a photo of empty food shelves at its Kitchener location.

This is a call for help for the community.

The downtown Kitchener Community Centre serves those in the community experiencing hunger, homelessness, and poverty.

A post on social media notes the demand for food assistance has risen, and they are running out of supplies to hand out.

The most needed items right now include:

  • Baby food
  • Formula,
  • Diapers (sizes 2-5)
  • Canned meat
  • Pastas/ pasta sauces
  • Stews
  • Beans
  • Fruit/veggies
  • Cereal
  • Oatmeal
  • Peanut butter

Donations can be dropped off at the Ray of Hope Community Centre, at 659 King Street East.
