Police investigating ‘suspicious’ basement fire in Kitchener

Police are investigating a fire they’re calling ‘suspicious’ in Kitchener on Friday afternoon.
According to Waterloo Regional Police, the fire happened in the basement of a house in the area of Courtland Ave. East at about 4:30 p.m.
No physical injuries were reported in the incident.
Police estimate the fire caused $50,000 in damage.
