Suspect in Kitchener murder 6th on Canada’s most wanted fugitives list

An updated list of Canada’s 25 most wanted fugitives has been released by the Bolo program alongside Toronto police and Toronto Crime Stoppers.

It includes 21-year-old Habiton Solomon who is a suspect for a homicide in Waterloo Region.

Solomon is from Hamilton and is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for second-degree murder in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Joshua Tarnue in downtown Kitchener in August 2023.

Two other men from Hamilton have already been arrested in the case but Solomon remains at large.

Solomon is also wanted by Hamilton Police Service for a shooting that took place in downtown Hamilton in July 2023.

He faces charges including discharging a firearm with intent and possession of a loaded prohibited firearm.

There’s a reward of up to $50,000 available for any information on the whereabouts of Solomon.

If you see him, you’re asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers. Police said he is believed to be armed and dangerous so do not approach.

According to police, he has connections to Ottawa, North Bay, Huntsville, Brantford and Windsor. Investigators believe he is evading arrest in Ontario.

The reward for any information that leads to his arrest will remain active until Dec. 3 as part of the Bolo program.
