Pedestrian seriously injured after hit-and-run crash in Waterloo

A man out for an evening walk in north Waterloo is now in hospital with serious injuries after a hit-and-run collision.

Waterloo Regional Police say Thursday night around 9:25 p.m., a man in his sixties was walking in the Northfield Drive West and Havelock Drive area, just east of Westmount Road.

He was reportedly hit by a white car, which drove away from the scene.

The car is possibly a Honda Civic, last seen travelling east on Northfield.

The 60-year-old man from Waterloo was sent to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
