Police will lay charges after pedestrian suffers serious injuries in Kitchener collision

Waterloo Regional Police say charges are expected after a pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a vehicle collision in Kitchener, Tuesday afternoon.

Officials said it happened soon after 4 p.m., on Victoria Street South near Park Street, near Victoria Park.

A 27-year-old woman was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

The 30-year-old woman driving the involved vehicle was not hurt.

That part of Victoria Street was closed for the investigation through the afternoon rush.

Police are still investigating and want to hear from any witnesses.
