Wranglers sign Brzustewicz to amateur tryout agreement

The American Hockey League affiliate of the Calgary Flames announced Monday that Hunter Brzustewicz has signed an amateur tryout agreement (ATO) with the club.

He’ll join the Wranglers for their upcoming playoff series against the Tucson Roadrunners.

Brzustewicz is coming off a 92-point season in which he scored 13 goals and 79 assists. He added 10 points in 10 games during the OHL playoffs.

He was acquired by the Calgary Flames organization earlier in the year where they also acquired Andrei Kuzmenko.

Brzustewicz was signed to his entry-level deal back in March.

He was originally drafted by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round of the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.
