Rangers’ Brzustewicz involved in trade to Calgary

Kitchener Rangers defenseman Hunter Brzustewicz is on the move within the NHL.

Brzustewicz was involved in Wednesday night’s deal that saw the Calgary Flames trade Elias Lindholm to the Vancouver Canucks for Andrei Kuzmenko and a package of other picks and prospects.

Brzustewicz was selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round, 75th overall in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft.

He has not yet been signed to an entry-level contract.

Brzustewicz is the Rangers’ leading scorer with 69 points. That’s also good for third in the league. He leads the Ontario Hockey League in assists with 61 and has scored eight goals for the Rangers in 46 games played in the 2023-24 season.
