Kitchener thrift store seeking donations after break-in

Retail Therapy KW Thrift & Consign was broken into back on Tuesday, April 9.

According to social media posts and a fundraiser page the thrift store, which acts a main source of funding for the Domestic Violence Victims Alliance was found by two employees ransacked.

Critical electronics, onsite cash and numerous other products we’re taken. In total the business estimates those items cost over $5,000.

In addition to the stolen items the store lost 4 days worth of sales and said it will need another $20,000 to cover operating costs.

The store reopened for business on Saturday but it’s asking for donations from the public, both physical and financial.
