Power has been restored to south Kitchener following an earlier outage.
More than 3,000 people in Kitchener were without power due to a downed power line.
According to Enova, a tree fell on a power line Thursday morning in the area of Trussler Road and Bethel Road.
A special weather statement is currently in effect for Waterloo Region, with heavy rainfall and a risk of thunderstorms.
