Police investigating Kitchener robbery and assault

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating an assault and carjacking that took place in Kitchener on Friday morning.

According to police, they responded to reports of a robbery at about 1:05 a.m. near the intersection of Victoria St. and Natchez Rd.

The male victim was leaving a ‘licenced establishment’ when two unknown men came up to him, assaulted him in the parking lot, stole his vehicle, and sped off.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the assault.

Officers later found the stolen vehicle in the area of Grand Ridge Dr. and Sullivan Ct. in Cambridge.

Police say the suspects are white, in their early-20’s, and thin.
