Police investigating crash in Waterloo

Police are investigating a crash that happened in Waterloo on Friday.

It happened at about 5:10 p.m. at the intersection of Westmount Rd. and Bearinger Rd. when two cars, a Toyota and a Nissan, collided.

Police determined that the driver of the Nissan was travelling down Westmount Rd., attempting to turn onto Bearinger, when it was struck by the Toyota, also driving down Westmount Rd.

The drivers of both vehicles, as well as a passenger in the Nissan, were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The investigation is ongoing by Waterloo Regional Police’s Traffic Services Unit. Charges are pending.
