ION train service has now been fully restored – following a collision-related disruption between Kitchener and Waterloo on Friday.
It was just after 10 a.m. when Grand River Transit reported that issue, halting trains between Willis Way Station / Waterloo Public Square Station and Grand River Hospital Station.
Several stations were also reduced to one line in both directions as a result of the crash.
That collision was reportedly in the intersection of Union Street East and King Street South, and did not involve an ION train.
Providing an update just before 11 a.m. on Friday, Grand River Transit said that disruption had ended.
ION trains have now returned to their regular schedule.

The latest disruption comes only two days since a collision on Wednesday briefly halted trains between Willis Way or Waterloo Public Square and Kitchener Market stations.
