Another jewellery store robbery at Fairview Park Mall, getaway vehicle photo released

Surveillance from Fairview Park Mall shows a silver SUV leaving the area after a reported robbery at a nearby jewellery store on Monday night.

Fairview Park Mall has been hit by jewellery store robbers again, but this time, police have a photo of the suspected getaway vehicle.

Waterloo Regional Police told CityNews 570 three suspects came into the mall around 8:20 p.m. Monday night.

They were allegedly armed with hammers and pepper spray, and smashed display cases and stole merchandise.

No one was physically hurt.

Police said the suspects fled the scene in a silver SUV.

Anyone who knows anything about what happened is asked to call the WRPS Robbery Team at 519-570-9777, extension 8255, or reach out anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

There were two other jewellery store robberies in the same mall in October and November of last year.
