Byelection day arrives for Ward 1 in Cambridge

Monday is voting day for the Ward 1 byelection in Cambridge.
There are four candidates in the running to fill the city council seat left vacant by the death of Donna Reid.
The candidates are Michelle Goodridge, Richard Kaufman, Karl Kiefer, and Helen Shwery.
There are four voting locations around Cambridge, each one open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday:
Allan Reuter Centre 507 King Street East Chestnut Room
Langs Community Health Centre 1145 Concession Road Green Lounge
W.G. Johnson Centre 31 Kribs Street Activities Room
City Hall 50 Dickson Street Bowman Room
Online voting is still an option until 7:59 p.m.
Results of Monday’s vote will be added on to advance voting and online voting results, and the winner will be announced Tuesday.
Their first council meeting will be Nov. 28.
