New KPL in southwest Kitchener set to open in 2025

Readers rejoice in southwest Kitchener as a new community library is expected to open its doors in the next two years.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Monday for the new library at 100 Rosenberg Way, near Fischer-Hallman Road and Bleams Road.

The library will mark the sixth KPL location and will have a special ‘green’ emphasis; as it will be the first net-zero, carbon neutral municipality facility in Waterloo Region.

The new library will also feature recording studios and digital learning labs. It’s expected to open in early 2025.
