Driver dies in vehicle fire south of Brantford

A driver has died in a vehicle fire just south of Brantford.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said it happened Wednesday, around 2:30 p.m., on Cockshutt Road, between Hagan Road and Burtch Road.

First responders got to the scene to find the vehicle already fully engulfed in flames.

The driver was the only person inside, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police made no mention of a crash, or how the vehicle came to be on fire.

The identity of the driver has not been released.

Brant County OPP would like to hear from any witnesses.
