Local events mark 43rd annual Terry Fox Run

Sunday, Sept. 17 marks the 43rd annual Terry Fox Run.
Residents across Canada will be taking to the roads, sidewalks and parks to run in support of cancer research.
Locally in Waterloo Region four runs are planned Sunday and include:
Waterloo:
Location: Waterloo Park at Central Street and Albert Street
Registration: 8:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Opening Ceremonies: 9:30 a.m.
Time Start to Close: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Kitchener:
Location: Victoria Park through downtown Kitchener
Registration: 11:00 a.m.
Start: 12:00 p.m.
Cambridge:
Location: Riverside Park, 49 King Street West, King St West & Fountain Streets
Registration: 11:00 a.m.
Start: 12:00 p.m.
Wilmot Township:
Location: New Hamburg Community Centre (Arena), 251 Jacob Street
Registration: 12:30 p.m.
Start: 1:30 p.m.
Participants are asked to bring a reusable water bottle that can be filled at water stations to their local run, in a effort to reduce their carbon footprint.
