Four people sustain injuries after crash in Kitchener

Waterloo Regional Police expect to lay charges for a crash at a Highway 7/8 off-ramp in Kitchener.

Police say it happened around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, on Ira Needles Boulevard at the Highway 7/8 West off-ramp.

Police say a silver SUV was coming north up Ira Needles when it was struck by a black SUV coming off the highway.

The 44-year-old driver of the black SUV, and what police describe as “two young passengers,” all suffered minor injuries.

An 80-year-old passenger in the silver SUV suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Police are hoping for witnesses to come forward, especially anyone with dash cam video.

Witnesses can call Regional Police at (519) 570-9777, extension 8856.
