Police alert Cambridge auto shops about break-ins

Regional Police are warning auto shops in Cambridge to be careful after multiple break-ins at businesses over the past two weeks.

An auto shop was broken into on July 10 at 3 a.m., in the area of Industrial Road and Bishop Street North. An individual smashed a window and entered the business before stealing cash.

In another case, an individual cut through a fence and smashed a window to enter an auto shop on Eagle Street North. This incident occurred on June 29 at 3:20 a.m. Once again the individual stole cash from the business.

To prevent these robberies, police are advising local businesses to secure their gates and have good lighting and cameras installed. Auto shops are also asked to contact police if they receive an alarm notification.
