The Region of Waterloo International Airport had its busiest day of the airport’s history on Sunday.

The local airport tweeted out Monday morning that more than 800 passengers travelled through its doors, helping passengers get to destinations across Canada. That’s the most amount of passengers that have passed through the airport in the 73 year history.

Flights departed from Breslau to destinations like Charlottetown, Halifax, Calgary and Vancouver.

This included the inaugural flight to Abbotsford B.C., which is being offered by Flair Airlines.

All of these flights took off before 9 a.m.
