Police charge youths after Canada Day fireworks incident

Regional Police charged four youths after a disturbance involving fireworks in Kitchener on Saturday evening.

Several people alerted police that youths were setting fireworks and aiming that at people at Victoria Park.

On Canada Day around 7:45 p.m. police responded to the area of 80 Schneider Avenue and cleared the youths from the park.

No one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

Following an investigation, the youths were charged with multiple offences including assault with a weapon and causing a disturbance.
