Region to discuss 2023 budget Wednesday

Regional councillors with gather Wednesday afternoon to talk about this year's budget.
The budget session is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. in Regional Council Chambers at 150 Frederick Street in Kitchener.
Items to be discussed include the acceleration of affordable housing, increased paramedic services and continued investments in safe drinking water.
The police services portion of the budget will be presented to councillors on February 1.
The 2023 regional budget will receive final approval at a meeting on Feb. 22.
2023 is a challenging #budget year due to inflation, growth and increasing and complex needs.
