Arrests made after movie screen slashed at Princess Cinemas

Halton Regional Police have made two arrests in connection with a series of movie screen slashings in Waterloo, Burlington, Oakville and Richmond Hill.
One of the incidents happened at Princess Cinemas in Waterloo on February 23.
Two suspects entered the theatre, which was playing the film Bheemla Nayak. Police allege one of the suspects used an unknown object to cut holes in the movie screen while the second suspect recorded the incident.
Police estimate the total damage from all the incidents at $100,000.
Officers executed search warrants on Tuesday at residences in Scarborough and Pickering, gathering evidence in relation to the offences.
30-year-old Dean Priestly of Toronto has been charged with two counts of mischief over $5,000 and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
38-year-old Mohammed Yousafzai of Pickering is also charged with mischief over $5,000 (five counts) and conspiracy to commit an indictable offence.
The accused were released from police custody on an undertaking with a court date.
